Holiday
Thanks
Firstly, many thanks go to the
following in chronological order:
- Alex at Flight Centre
in Greenborough for getting us better
deals than I could get on flights to/from
Europe during a busy season, the car
rental, and the Eurail tickets.
- Collection
of doctors and nurses at the Northern
Hospital in Epping caring for Denise
enabling us to actually take the
holiday. It was touch and go there
for the last two weeks.
- Nina in Switzerland for
her super friendship and
hospitality. Words cannot describe
the planning and attention to everything
which she had done in advance. It
was very much appreciated and loved.
- Vera (Nina's mum) in
Switzerland for her letting us stay with
her and her care package which was quite
substantial when we left:)
- Kevin and Rainer in
Wuppertal for their fabulous hospitality
and for creating a room just for us -
Singling out Rainer for his wonderful
cooking and shopping expeditions.
This was our fourth time with them in 17
years. That must say something in
itself.
- Connie and Daniel for
their wonderful friendship and hospitality
giving us the rest and relaxation we
desperately needed and preparing such a
wonderful room, wonderful red cabbage, the
fabulous meals every day - and the dog
walks with Daschek. Also we thank
you for the surprises in the care package
with which you sent us on our way with.
- Karoline for again
joining us for a city on our holiday -
this time in Copenhagen. Having you
join us is a treat for both of us.
Your life long friendship is cherished
also. We have lost count of the
number of times we have caught up now in
one way or another.
- Norway Railway customer
service for squeezing us on seats on the
Oslo to Myrdal train - even though it was
at 6:28am - when everything else was
full. Eurail let us down big time by
refusing to reserve trains in
Norway. Lucky Norway Railways
customer service was very helpful.
- Dogdayz
in Toolern Vale for looking after Ruby
for 6 weeks while we were absent.
You went above and beyond the call as
Ruby was quite a handful.
- Doreen
for taking care of the mail and the
garden
- Last
but not least - to Hayley for not
dropping her bundle yet.
